The Public Relations and Media Unit has the overall responsibility of projecting a positive image of the College in the public domain. It also aims to preserve and maintain reputation of the college while providing information for prospective students and the public in general.

Major Functions

  • Develops and maintains activities that foster the reputation of the College
  • Fosters college relations with the community through events and through involvement in community initiatives.
  • Writes press releases for all promotional activities and supplies press with information and photographs about the college.
  • Contacts relevant organizations media for publishing the strategies and forthcoming projects.
  • Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations.
  • Conducts public opinion and attitude surveys to identify the interests and concerns of key groups served by the college.
  • Develops and organize workshops, meetings, ceremonies and other events for publicity and information purposes.
  • Prepares and distributes fact sheets, news releases, photographs, scripts, to the media representation and other persons who may be interested in learning about the College activities or vision and mission.
  • Represents FCMS in a positive and professional manner in the community.
  • Handling and provision of college publications.
  • Conveys the public's concerns, expectations and opinions in order for the College to implement them in their core decision making.
  • Creates an increasing awareness of the College's ongoing events, activities and facilities.
