Major Functions

  • Set objectives and strategies for the IT unit.
  • Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
  • Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization.
  • Recommend purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers.
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance
  • Direct and organize IT-related projects.
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the College can gain competitive advantage.
  • Analyze the costs, value, and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions.
  • Provide technological guidance within the organization.
  • Supervise information system and communications network.
  • Develop and implement a customer service platform to serve the organization in every aspect.
  • Consult with administration, department managers, and manufacturing representatives to exchange information, present new approaches, and to discuss equipment/system changes.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the information technology unit including directing staff, who support administrative computing, networking, user services, telecommunications, and other information technology functions.
  • Assess and anticipate technology projects and recommend appropriate action and resources.
  • Propose hardware/software solutions to accomplish the college’s business objectives.
  • Identify user needs and resolve problems as needed.
