Curriculum Monitoring and Development Unit at FCMS is established (under the DEM) to review and evaluate the overall content and appropriateness of the educational programs and curriculum on a defined and regular basis. It ensures that the objectives serve as guides for establishing curricula and provide the basis for evaluating the effectiveness of the educational program.
Major Functions
- Supports and provides advice on curriculum development and evaluation in accordance with the best evidence medical education.
- Monitors the content of different courses and identifies gaps and redundancies
- Addresses potential new areas for curriculum development.
- Monitors the implementation of curriculum development plans.
