The faculty members of the department of Physiological Sciences provide expertise and teach different aspects of physiological sciences to medical and paramedical students. In addition to providing courses, the department members are involved in medical research and teaching labs. The department hosts seminars, and special events to enhance our students’ as well as faculty members’ learning and research experiences. The mission of the department supports the mission of the FCMS.

Major Functions

  • Provides expertise and teach different aspects of physiological sciences to medical students included within the various programs in the college.
  • Coordinates with departments/units within the college to implement the department curricula.
  • Monitors students’ progress on regular basis and arrange for guidance and advice as needed.
  • Ensures that teaching staffs are highly qualified and experienced and continuously developing their professional and academic skills.
  • Oversees the implementation of approved curriculum within the department and ensures quality of teaching and learning process.
  • Contributes to the achievements of the mission and goals of the college.
  • Conducts the program self-evaluation process and accreditation preparation.
