History

2003

  • The capacity of the college was 620 students.
  • Launching the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program (first batch of 55 students).

2008

  • BSN Program first batch officially graduated.

2010

  • Launching the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Program (first batch of 32 students).

2015

  • MLS Program first batch officially graduated.
  • Launching the Master of Science in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing (first batch of 12 students).
  • Introducing DAAM Program” (a Scholarship Program) for the support of students’ enrollment in BSN program.

2016

  • Launching the FCMS Second Strategic Plan (2016-2020)
  • Implementing innovative and interactive teaching strategies and methods such as, but not limited to, Team-Based Learning (TBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Student-prepared presentations (SPP), Clinical Case Presentation (CCP), Interactive Lectures, Flipped Classes, etc.

2017

  • The capacity of the college was increased after the new expansion to 2400 students
  • Launching the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) Program (first batch of 62 students).
  • The institutional accreditation was obtained from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA).
  • Cooperation agreement with Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Dublin, Ireland - School of Nursing (Strategic Partner)

2018

  • Launching the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program (first batch of 10 students).
  • Cooperation agreement with the School of Medicine, “University of Dundee”, Dundee, United Kingdom (Strategic Partner).

2020

  • Launching the Master of Science in Critical Care Nursing (first batch of 11 students).
  • Launching the Master of Science in Oncology and Palliative Care Nursing (first batch of 5 students).
  • Launching the Master of Science in Medical Education (first batch of 5 students).

2021

  • BSN program accreditation from the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) for a period of four years.
  • MLS program accreditation from the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) for a period of four years.
  • Launching the FCMS Third Strategic Plan (2021-2025)
  • Launching the Master of Science in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (first batch of 10 students).
  • Launching the Master of Science in Women's Health Nursing (first batch of 7 students).
  • Launching several short courses for the Nursing program
  • Development of several short courses for the Medical Education program

2022

  • Launching the scientific chair of Dr. Mazen Fakeeh “Management and treatment of diabetes”
  • Launching the first summer research school.
  • Launching the summer clinical training school.

2023

  • Launching the Master of Science in Community Health Nursing (first batch of 7 students).
  • Launching a PhD Joint Supervision program.
