“To be a leading platform in diabetes mellitus care and management in Saudi Arabia, fostering research innovation, education, and professional training excellence.
To conduct and support translational studies in diabetes mellitus using healthcare technology, excellence in education, professional training, and high-impact innovative research and improving the clinical care outcomes and lives of diabetic patients living in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
1. Identify local needs, and design services, products, and business models to allow improved management and care for individuals with diabetes using healthcare technology innovation, artificial intelligence, and screening programs.
2. Design and develop an online healthcare technology management system, in the Arabic language, that optimizes and assures continuity of care for diabetic patients focusing on patient education, empowerment, and improved quality of life.
3. Develop postgraduate educational (MSc, PhD), professional training (continuous education, post-doctoral fellowship) programs, and research opportunities that provide supervision, facilities, and research experience, in diabetes care health technology solutions, and research.
4. Establish national and international academic and scientific research collaborations with diabetes care, healthcare technology artificial intelligence research groups, and higher education institutes.
5. Create an environment that will facilitate the transfer of healthcare technology and personalized medicine research innovation to Saudi Arabia.
6. Targeting preventive strategies and screening programs for diabetic patients and individuals at high risk for developing diabetes and its complications for the general local population and beyond.
